Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

The proof is in the eating.
Adventure and athleticism take many forms. In January 2025, ultrarunner and race director Jamil Coury toed the line for a chance to win a year's supply of free burritos. The challenge: run as many miles as possible outside an Arizona restaurant. What followed was an absurd commitment to athleticism and competition that saw him run more than 730 miles. And his shoe of choice for over 600 of those miles? A single pair of the new Mount to Coast H1s.

Created through a process of advanced supercritical foaming, each pair of CircleCELL™ midsoles is made from up to 20 pounds (9 kilograms) of organic waste and residual biomass. Despite its sustainability credentials, CircleCELL™ delivers energy return on par with PEBA, with almost double PEBA's running lifespan.
Mount to Coast VersaGrip™ is engineered to deliver exceptional traction, confidence and durability across all terrain, so you can run to the trails from your front door without ever missing a step. Worried that a road shoe will be out of its depth on the trails? VersaGrip™ has got your back. This is optimal performance for real-world situations.
The TUNEDFIT™ Dual Lacing System offers separately customizable fit for the forefoot and midfoot. Because we know that in the ultrarunner’s pursuit of distance, feet can swell and change shape, and having a shoe that can adapt to those changes on the fly can be the difference between minor discomfort and injury.
The H1 features a dual-zone upper. Across the top portion, the shoe is engineered with jacquard for adaptive fit and comfort, while the lower part is crafted for exceptional durability with a high-performance woven fabric, reinforced with aramid fibers that are five times stronger than steel.

As a bigger runner at 6’ 3” and 205lbs the circleCELL foam is an outstanding balance of cushion thats easy on the joints and tendons over miles but’s still firm enough to keep the shoe feeling responsive. Still dialing in the dual lacing system to get the right fit in the forefoot as I have a narrower foot which caused a little lateral movement in the wider toe box but the heel and midfoot are secure enough that it’s not a major issue. The 6mm drop feels like an ideal balance on both my mid and heel strike pattern. Definitely expect to order another pair as these wear out.
First time switching to mount to coast from a brand I was loyal to for years. I decided to give the H1 a try. After my first few runs I knew I had to grab another pair only to find out my size is now sold out and I'm on a waiting list now. Shoes fit and feel great on long training runs. Planning to use these H1s for a 50 mile ultra in 1 month. I couldnt be more happy about trying this brand after hearing about them multiple times..
These shoes are so light and transition from road to trail perfectly! My pair only has 20 miles on it and I’m already ordering a second for when they go!
I am nearly 57-years-old and have been an avid runner consistently for the past 26-years. As I am getting older I have been experiencing some knee and Achilles issues. I have tried many different shoes and shoe brands. My son who is an elite runner and Cross Country Coach has been telling me for many months that I need to try Mount to Coast. He has even had me try on his H1's. I have had my H1's for five days now and have ran in them every day. I can already tell a difference in how my right knee feels. One of my favorite features is the wide toe box as my right pinky toe has eventually pushed through many road and trail shoes I have owned in the past. So far the shoe has exceeded my expectations. The H1 has good arch support in the mid sole and is responsive taking pressure off my knee and Achilles. I am looking forward to seeing how durable they are over time! I am hopefully optimistic!
Great shoe!
Feels fantastic on trail and road. Highly recommend!!!
