Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

Mount to Coast’s 3D Archrail™ is a flexible support structure that significantly reduces peak forefoot abduction angles and activates the abductor hallucis muscle in the arch of your foot. The result is a revolution in stability that helps you to achieve better foot balance for irritation-free running.
Our LightCELL™ compound is fueled by the industry-leading nitrogen supercritical foaming process. It is eco-friendly and showcases 50% reduced weight and 45% increased energy return compared to traditional EVA midsoles.
Designed to guide you from heel to toe, our GOFLOW™ midsole geometry steers each of your foot strikes to help you stay in the flow state and enjoy a consistently smooth running experience.
A Return to Self
Running is more than movement. It’s a return to something deeper. The Agave colorway is inspired by the endurance traditions of those who ran before us: the messengers, the nomads who understood that every step was an offering. One that represents rebirth, resilience, and energy.

Very comfortable ride definitely the best pair of running shoes I’ve ever owned.
The most comfortable stability shoe. Usually stability shoes with a 10mm drop are bulky and heavy, but these are so light. They soft upper, vamp, and tongue provide support but are soft and lightweight at the same time.
My favorite running shoe. I never thought I needed a stability shoe but decided to give it a try since I have a pattern of blistering on the medial side of my feet and toes with all other shoes making me think that I have maybe some pronation. It's helped so much, plus these shoes have the right amount of cushion and got me second place female on my last road 100 mile ultra marathon! I plan to wear them for my next 100 miler coming up in August!!
I love having a Mount to Coast shoe with a little extra stability over the R1 (which I also love)
Compared to the On Cloudrunner 3, unmatched quality difference for the same price!
I was battling a bad case of plantar fasciitis and needed a shoe that would give me support while I worked on strengthening my foot. I wear a barefoot shoe for strength, training and every day wear, but as I was training for a 40 mile ultramarathon, I needed more protection and cushion.
So, for six months, I logged many miles while wearing these shoes and my PF continuously improved. As of yesterday, I am proud to say that I completed my ultra with zero pain in my foot! Also, since I ran a trail ultra, I am proud to report that I have no sore toenails at all (even after going down some pretty steep hills), because my foot was so well secured and the shoe did not allow it to slide forward at all.
I am a woman, but I have a wide foot so I always order men’s shoes. The way that the MtC’s cradle my heel and mid foot, but allow my toes to spread and work, is exactly what I needed for my foot health journey. The P1’s saved me & I’m so glad I took the chance and ordered them!
I just switched from a wide toe box zero drop shoe to the P1. I only have 10 miles in them, but they are performing very well. Very stable and comfortable. They are very well made.
I am 41 years old and I have worn many pairs of shoes before. But these Mount To Coast P1’s are some of the most comfortable and supportive shoes that I have ever worn. I will definitely buy another pair! Thank you Mount To Coast for making a great Shoe!
I had high hopes but in just a few workouts on the treadmill, both heels ripped out and the shoes are unwearable. Company gave me the runaround. Never again.
I have been wearing MTC since they released the R1 last year. I run roughly 25-30 miles weekly at the age of 51. The R1 quickly became my favorite shoe last year and nobody has come out with a better shoe this year. I loved the Agave colorway so I decided to get the P1 along with the R1. I have no stability issues but I have learned that running a couple times a week with my S1’s it’s relieved my ankle fatigue so I guess having a light stability shoe in your rotation is a good thing. My T1’s are on the way and I can’t wait to start ripping up the trails here in Colorado Springs. Most of my running is trail. I’m a hobby trail runner at heart! Bravo Mount to Coast! My MTC line up!
I’ve tried a lot of running shoes over the years, but the Mount to Coast P1s blew me away. From the moment I put them on, I could feel the difference—lightweight, supportive, and seriously comfortable. Whether I’m out for a long run or just wearing them casually, they keep my feet feeling fresh and pain-free.
The cushioning is next level without feeling bulky, and they’ve got just the right amount of bounce to keep me moving. Plus, the fit is perfect—snug where it needs to be, with enough room in the toe box. If you’re looking for a running shoe that actually feels good mile after mile, this is it. These are definitely staying in my rotation.
After completing my first ultramarathon, I knew I was officially hooked on distance—and that my gear needed to evolve with me. I’d already had success with the Mount to Coast R1s (they’re my absolute favorite for speed work—light, responsive, and snappy AF), but I was craving something that could handle hours on my feet with more structure, more cushion, and more stability.
Enter the P1.
These shoes don’t just meet expectations—they obliterate them. From the moment I slipped them on, I felt like my feet were wrapped in a hug. And not the squishy, over-padded kind—a real supportive, “let’s get to work” kind of hug. They’re plush but not pillowy, stable but not stiff, and incredibly smooth over both roads and non-technical trails. Whether I’m logging back-to-back long runs, heading out for an easy shakeout walk, or just cruising through daily errands, the P1s absolutely deliver.
Some highlights:
✅ Drop is just right – enough to keep my calves happy on long days, but never feels like I’m fighting the shoe.
✅ Lightweight for a stability shoe – these don’t drag me down, even 15+ miles in.
✅ Effortless transitions – they flow with my stride without needing “break-in” time.
✅ Crazy comfortable – I genuinely look forward to putting them on.
On my personal Steve Scale™, the P1s are a straight-up 5 out of 5. No hesitation. They’re that good. I bought one pair… then immediately bought another. Because when you find a shoe that feels this right, you double down.
If you’re an endurance athlete, a walker, or someone looking for a shoe that can do everything without compromise—stop scrolling. This is the one. The Mount to Coast P1 is the long-distance bestie you didn’t know you needed. Now I can chase longer goals with confidence, knowing my feet are taken care of.
Finally a stability shoe that doesn’t feel like a ski boot and a crown of thorns. Well done pair of kicks.
These shoes ROCK the comfort and they look awesome! I'm buying more pairs so I never run out. Great work MtC!
I’ve had a month of S1 wear which feels more technical than my new P1s.
Which means the S1s will be my goto on the flatter trail hikes because I’ve found my new daily shoe. The P1.
It’s technical comfort.
These shoes are a great addition to my training. It took a few runs to get adjusted to the fit, but they run smooth and my body doesn’t hurt. My go to has always beeen ASICS Gel Kayano, for medial support. These shoes seem to meet that need nicely. Plus, they are much lights. I have two pair of the P1 and am very happy with them.
