I pulled these babies out of the box and thought I was going for a 3 mile test run. They felt so good, I decided to go for 10 miles. I took them up a hillside, on pavement and gravel and they felt amazing. The only part of me that didn’t hurt the next day was my feet. I will be a repeat customer.
I ran 100 miles trails in R1! Unbelievable but true. I usually get 2-4 blisters at my usual hot spots but not this time. Tesla Hertz 100 miles is somewhat of an easy trails mostly roots and flat. Although I brought a few other shoes with me but I did not need to change shoes at all!
Amazingly comfortable and legs were not trashy after the race! The duo lacing system is such a brilliant idea!

I genuinely do not write reviews about something 1st day of owning, however this pair of shoes, are something to write about. A lot of company’s seem to be all hype due to social media, so it is difficult at times to navigate the turmoil of BS you see online. I’m confident in saying that given the price point and the hype, these shoes are everything I hoped they would be. Comfortable, functional, stylish, and true to size. Most importantly they’re like walking or running on a cloud. Will update again in 6 months, I’ll make good use of them given I work in a hospital, and my extra curricular fitness lifestyle of hybrid training.
Rarely would I try sneakers after just reading about them online. For the comfort, performance, and price point, the R1s can’t be beat. Great to see a newcomer to the market with this strong of an entry!
I have no complaints about this shoe. I have never been happy with a running shoe, but then I tired these. I thought they were a gimmick, but they live up to their reputation.
