Dual Lacing, Refined

Experience enhanced comfort and control with our signature TUNEDFIT™ Dual Lacing System. Now with two cinch cords per shoe, you can adjust the fit around the forefoot and midfoot independently in seconds. Paired with a wide toe box, it lets your toes splay, flex, and power through the longest runs in the toughest terrain.

Dries Fast, Built to Last

Crafted from a high-performance woven fabric and reinforced with aramid fibers that are five times stronger than steel, the T1’s upper is relentlessly durable. Its anti-siphon knit tongue repels water, ensuring a breathable, fast-drying design that thrives in the harshest conditions.

Midsole Mastery

LightCELL™, our proprietary midsole, is turbocharged through supercritical foaming. LightCELL™ weighs just 50 percent of EVA while offering 45 percent greater energy return – it’s battle-tested by hundreds of ultrarunners for consistent responsiveness, mile after mile.

Vibram®’s Finest

The T1’s outsole features a trio of Vibram® innovations: Megagrip rubber for tenacious traction in any condition, Litebase for 30 percent less weight without compromising performance, and Traction Lug micro-features for up to 25 percent more grip.

MTC Does It Again

Been running in the R1 and love that shoe. Couldn't wait for the release of the T1.
Had very high expectations for the T1 and it has not disappointed at all. In fact, it has exceeded expectations.
Over 60 miles so far with a 22 mile/15 mile back to back weekend on the Appalachian Trail in North Georgia. They performed flawlessly in every situation, but particularly in the technical sections. I had tons of confidence in them on the descents.
I think I actually like the ride of the T1 better than the R1. They definitely have a different feel than the R1's, ie, more cushioning with a softer feel.
I did have a few concerns about them, mostly around the upper lacing system.
I was worried about lace bite with the upper lacing system but there was absolutely none.
I was worried about the upper laces loosening over time, especially on technical descents, but I have not had to adjust them at all.
I was also worried about the lack of a rock plate. Ground feel was good without any issues with rocks.
This is my trail shoe of choice for sure and can't wait to wear them at No Business 100 miler later this year and at the Cocodona 250 (if I can clear the waitlist).
Well Done Mount to Coast!!

Another Amazing MTC Shoe

I spent 6 hours yesterday on some very rocky technical trail and was absolutley amazed. After just shy of 5000ft of ascent, the shoe was still comfortable with no hot spots, blisters or sore toenails. I know there has been some who did not appreciate the lacing system but I think it is fantastic, to be able adjust on the fly makes it so easy as terrain changes. The midsole (as many have already said) is nothing like the R1, it more soft feeling. I was a bit worried considering I am 180+ lbs, and at times it doesnt seem that there is much under foot, suprisingly this shoe responds to absolutley anythingt you throw at it. Five plus hours into the run, quads were sore after all the downhill, extended my route to take in a mile of asphalt and was blown away by how cushioned they felt on the road. I could go on and on but just buy the shoe will not be disappointed and the price point is spot on, believe me its worth it, how do I know, well I own several other trail shoes in my quiver such as Norda 005 and the Tecton X3 thus I know value when I see it. It will be weapon at the Arizona Monster in 2026.

My new go to trail runners

First run in my new T1's and I'm hooked. These are probably more comfortable than my R1's. Took them out on a new to me single track trail. It was lightly raining, so there was some mud and slick rocks. The tread worked perfectly with no slips....YET! These will be the shoes I run MOAB 240 in!

Outstanding

The lacing system took a few runs to get used to. Out of the box these shoes were extremely comfortable, Easy to break in. Finally a shoe with plenty of toe room without a zero drop.
