High performance meets ultra-sustainability.
Durability. Performance. Sustainability. Pick all three.
In the past, runners have faced a familiar dilemma: durability, performance, sustainability – pick two. Sure, you can choose a sustainable, comfortable shoe, but it might only last 150 miles. That’s not good enough. That’s why we developed CircleCELL™, the first high-performance midsole material made entirely from renewable feedstock, including recycled organic waste, to deliver elite energy return and incredible durability, while minimizing environmental impact. This is more than a material breakthrough; it’s a decisive step toward circular design and uncompromised sustainability.

This combination of performance, durability, and sustainability is already reshaping what runners demand of a shoe. In January 2025, ultrarunner and race director Jamil Coury ran more than 730 miles outside an Arizona restaurant, in a competition to win a year’s supply of free burritos. Over 600 of his winning miles were logged in a single pair of Mount to Coast H1s with CircleCELL™ technology. His story proves that sustainability is like the guac on the burrito – the icing on the cake that turns good, to great.

Each CircleCELL™ midsole is manufactured through a process certified by REDcert² and ISCC PLUS and up to 20 pounds (9 kilograms) of organic waste and residual biomass is converted into a pair of midsoles. Every step in CircleCELL™ is a demonstration that what we throw away can carry us forward.
