Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

I bought this shoe to replace a pair of On Running shoes that I wear to walk the dogs. I’ve worn them for a couple months now and put 1-2 miles on them every day. I’ve worn them in the rain and confirm water resistance. Extremely light weight. Very comfortable and very cushy. Would buy again.
Really enjoying the T1 so far. Comfortable on foot, I went a half size up to get a bit more room for my toes. Nice ride on trail, cushioning is top notch but the shoe has some speed when you call for it. Rockered well so you can just settle in and let the miles disappear. Dual lacing system locks your foot in really nicely as well.
Good grief I love these T1's. I picked up some H1's and T1's with the intent of seeing which one I would prefer, and they both ended up being some of my favorite shoes ever. I run trail almost exclusively, so the T1's were a no-brainer.
Anyway, I have extremely wide feet - all the way maxed out on width on that machine you step on, so a lot of shoes are just awful for me, I cannot even run in any Salomon I have ever tried. The T1's (and the H1) both are perfect for my sasquatch feet.
I love the lacing system, and I have smashed every PR I have ever run in my T1's, and only had them about a week! They feel quite premium, they fit my feet like a glove. The T1 will be part of my permanent shoe harem forever!
Also, kind of funny side note, but I run hard through mud, water, doesn't matter - And somehow these T1's manage to look bright and new even when simultaneously covered in mud and grime. At least so far! Made me laugh, not important but kind of cool. Something about the material.
For those of you who have run in Nordas, the MTC T1 feels almost identical to Norda 002's, but feels like it has more energy return. My quads don't get nerfed as much in the T1's when I bomb hills as the Norda 002's. YMMV!
I really cannot say enough about the T1. And the H1's are so comfortable I wear them around the house like bedroom slippers, haha!
Overall Rating: 9.5/10
Key Pros:
• Minimal break-in: Ready to go right out of the box.
• Lightweight & stable: Excellent balance for technical terrain.
• Roomy toe box + secure heel lock: Prevents hotspots and slippage.
• Vibram outsole: Ideal mix of protection, flexibility, and grip.
• Breathability: Top-tier in extreme heat (tested in Sonoran Desert).
• Dual lacing system: Customizable fit; adjustable mid-run (short learning curve).
• Cushioning durability: Holding strong after 116 miles in harsh conditions.
Key Con (Only Criticism):
• Soft midsole vulnerability: Thorns and sharp rocks can penetrate the unprotected flex zones, occasionally poking through to the foot.
Real-World Testing:
• 40 days / 116 miles on brutally abrasive Sonoran Desert trails (known for destroying shoes).
• Excited for the next 100+ miles – durability is a standout feature.
Verdict: A near-perfect desert/trail beast for runners who prioritize comfort, stability, and breathability. Just watch your step on super-thorny sections. Highly recommended even if you’re in hot, rocky environments!
They arrived quickly and fit great. Very happy with this purchase!
