Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

The proof is in the eating.
Adventure and athleticism take many forms. In January 2025, ultrarunner and race director Jamil Coury toed the line for a chance to win a year's supply of free burritos. The challenge: run as many miles as possible outside an Arizona restaurant. What followed was an absurd commitment to athleticism and competition that saw him run more than 730 miles. And his shoe of choice for over 600 of those miles? A single pair of the new Mount to Coast H1s.

Created through a process of advanced supercritical foaming, each pair of CircleCELL™ midsoles is made from up to 20 pounds (9 kilograms) of organic waste and residual biomass. Despite its sustainability credentials, CircleCELL™ delivers energy return on par with PEBA, with almost double PEBA's running lifespan.
Mount to Coast VersaGrip™ is engineered to deliver exceptional traction, confidence and durability across all terrain, so you can run to the trails from your front door without ever missing a step. Worried that a road shoe will be out of its depth on the trails? VersaGrip™ has got your back. This is optimal performance for real-world situations.
The TUNEDFIT™ Dual Lacing System offers separately customizable fit for the forefoot and midfoot. Because we know that in the ultrarunner’s pursuit of distance, feet can swell and change shape, and having a shoe that can adapt to those changes on the fly can be the difference between minor discomfort and injury.
The H1 features a dual-zone upper. Across the top portion, the shoe is engineered with jacquard for adaptive fit and comfort, while the lower part is crafted for exceptional durability with a high-performance woven fabric, reinforced with aramid fibers that are five times stronger than steel.

I wore my H1s for a 100-mile race after only 5 break-in miles, and they exceeded expectations. No blisters, great cushioning, and all-day comfort. Impressive performance for such a long distance right out of the box.
Took them for a spin, light and short Z2 and felt fine on road. 2nd outing crew/pace friends at a 100 miler/30hr race! I was under recovered and sore from a couple races in the last few weeks, but between foot care before and the ability to tighten/loosen the upper or lower separate feet were 100% fine, no blisters, nice wide toe box, and with half size up had plenty room and at no time did it feel like my foot would pop out. Thank you for the recommendation Trishul!
I train on the road because I'm a mom of 3 and have to go early in the morning but I race on the trail, so I need a shoe that can do both. I've been wanting to try these for awhile and I'm so glad I did! Love them!
I was a little hesitant because I've never heard of the brand, but they came highly recommended from a close friend who has done cross country all her life. My H1s surpass every running shoe I've owned. I rotated them in after I ran 6 miles in my hokas which gave me blisters around my toes. While running in them, my feet are supported to where my toes don't rub and I havent had blisters since.
Great shoe. I usually wear an 8.5 but should have gone with a 9, feels just a bit snug at the end of shoe. Width is good.
