Dual Lacing, Refined

Experience enhanced comfort and control with our signature TUNEDFIT™ Dual Lacing System. Now with two cinch cords per shoe, you can adjust the fit around the forefoot and midfoot independently in seconds. Paired with a wide toe box, it lets your toes splay, flex, and power through the longest runs in the toughest terrain.

Dries Fast, Built to Last

Crafted from a high-performance woven fabric and reinforced with aramid fibers that are five times stronger than steel, the T1’s upper is relentlessly durable. Its anti-siphon knit tongue repels water, ensuring a breathable, fast-drying design that thrives in the harshest conditions.

Midsole Mastery

LightCELL™, our proprietary midsole, is turbocharged through supercritical foaming. LightCELL™ weighs just 50 percent of EVA while offering 45 percent greater energy return – it’s battle-tested by hundreds of ultrarunners for consistent responsiveness, mile after mile.

Vibram®’s Finest

The T1’s outsole features a trio of Vibram® innovations: Megagrip rubber for tenacious traction in any condition, Litebase for 30 percent less weight without compromising performance, and Traction Lug micro-features for up to 25 percent more grip.

the T1 fitting is great i like that contour my

the T1 fitting is great i like that contour my wide feet infact i tested it today on my 5 mile walk, the only thing i noticed through my walk is the cushion is not that soft not like the H1 that i have. so my concern is that will it hold and give me the support and comfort all through my walk in spain, i will be doing the camino de compostal de santiago it's a 117km hike and walk but hopefully no concern on the shoes while i do the walk. i know it's to late to return it because our trip is getting closer, but over all i love both shoes i'm thankful to my friends that introduced me to this shoes and that's why i gave up on other brands and bought your H1 and T1 for comfort and support for walking and hiking. so i close this review by saying thank you and i will test your shoes on this trip to see how Mount To Coast rise up on this trail/running shoes business. thank you Mount To Coast.

They choose are freaking awesome!

These shoes freakin rock! I’ve rucked for several years, on and off road, and I’ve always struggled to find a pair of shoes to take the beating of 4-6miles every few days. I’ve had mine for going on six months and virtually no wear and tear besides getting low on tread. In the past, my inner toes and inside heels are completely torn up, but with the reinforced outside, there is no sign of heavy usage. Which is understandable for the amount of miles I’ve put on them. Also internally has held up amazing from the impact of many miles, they haven’t warped in the sole at all. I have no idea where these come from how they’re made, etc, but it’s a great shoe. Will 100% be buying more. Only thing I wish they had were a few more options in style and specific to trail, but I also understand the work it takes to produce a high quality shoe.

Big Man Approved!!!

I came into these with some skepticism, but they've completely exceeded my expectations.

For context, I'm 6'3", 225 lbs, with an athletic build. Most running shoes struggle to handle my size and typically leave me dealing with knee pain or Achilles discomfort after longer runs in the 6-13 mile range. These, however, have absolutely SMASHED every other shoe in my collection.

The energy return is fantastic, my knees feel great even after long runs, and the grip is nothing short of incredible. In fact, I enjoy running in them so much that I often reach for them over my dedicated road running shoes.

I've recommended them to all of my friends and family because I genuinely think they're worth trying. I'll be purchasing the H1 soon to round out my setup with a more road-to-trail-focused option, but for now, I couldn't be happier with these shoes.

P.S. The customer service team was excellent. They helped me quickly resolve a sizing mistake I made when ordering, and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free.

Took me about a year to convince me to try the T1

Took me about a year to convince me to try the T1. I am sorry that I didn’t try them sooner. I mountain run in Alaska and these are truely the shoe I have been looking for for a very long time. The traction on the T1 is amazing on everything from mudd to hard scrabble and rock. I have put about 100+ hard trail miles on these so far. I love the heal lock and the ability to adjust the fore foot lace depending on conditions. The longest race of 22.8 miles my feet felt great with no problems.
I look forward to the next thing from Mount to Coast. Possibly a gore Tex for winter runs? Possibly a studded version of the T1?
Keep up the good work! Much appreciate your shoes!

Ripped in less than 100 miles

Was stoked to be wearing these. Loved the lower drop height, stiff heel counter, foam compound, and overall last shape. That said, the upper ripped from lateral to medial, all the way through, as well as a large rip in the toe on my most recent outing. I estimate that I had a total of 93 miles on these shoes. Hoping it was just a defect, especially given that I’ve never had this happen with another performance trail runner. Pretty disappointed right now bc they were great shoes otherwise!

Big trip coming up!

I bought these to wear on our Camino De Santiago hike.
Started wearing them immediately to "break-in". So comfortable right away and I look forward to using them 10-15 miles per day.
My first pair and definitely not my last!

Just received my T1! Love it so far!

Just received my T1! Love it so far. I did insert a pair of Superfeet insoles for more arch support. Feeling good about hiking Ermei mountain in China next month!!!!

I didn’t receive the extra traditional laces in the box though. I was looking for them because one of the TUNEDFOR laces would loosen itself Not a big thing but a tad bit of a bummer.

Took them for a Trail Test today.

Took them for some short training runs this past week and today put them on the trail for real… 14mile 3800vert and 5 1/2 hour moving time 7 hrs in the shoes and they felt great. I was ready for the end of the trail but, it wasn’t the shoes.
Cheers!

I ruck in these shoes every day

I ruck in these shoes every day. I usually ruck about 20 miles, less lately all at once due to extreme summer heat of 100+. These are the only shoes I currently own, so they are on my feet all the time. Very comfortable, lots of grip. I ruck rural roads, dirt, gravel, grass, sand, and anything else I come across. My feet are size 9.5, and I choose to wear an 11 due to foot swell while rucking. Day rucks, night rucks, these shoes can handle it all. The wide toe box is amazing, the lacing system is amazing. Whether a quick trip to the market or a longer than usual 30+ miles to check out a bridge covered in graffiti, these shoes will get you there.

8.5 out of 10.

These Mount to Coast shoes are very comfortable, incredibly lightweight, and provide excellent grip. They feel great underfoot and perform well overall.
My main issue is the lace-cinch system. It is not very intuitive to use, and the components feel flimsy for a shoe that costs around $180. The cinch should be made from higher-quality materials and feel more secure and durable.
An attachable gaiter option would also be a great addition, especially for keeping dirt and debris out on trails. Overall, these are comfortable, capable shoes, but the lace system needs refinement to better match the premium price.

Very good trail shoes!

Very good trail shoes! Just bought my second pair of T1's. I originally was excited to try them because I love that Mount to Coast is trying to make shoes more durable and sustainable. I found that they were very comfortable with great spring and good traction and set out to see how far I could go on one pair. They were more durable than most but not quite as durable as some of the advertising had me hoping. I found the lugs were badly worn by around 400 miles (resulting in some very slippery times on snowfields) but they still felt good on my feet up to about 680 miles. Note that I was mostly running on very rocky trails; lugs might last longer in areas with softer trails. So not quite what the R1's have been reported doing but still better than any other shoes I've ever had! I was also impressed that they still felt secure for several hundred miles even after I managed to cut the upper over the forefoot open on a sharp volcanic rock after about 300 miles!

Outstanding product

These are fantastic shoes I've now trained for and run my first official races including a 100 miler in the T1, and they've performed every time. I own multiple pairs but my 1st pair are still more than capable, overall great product I look forward to trying the M1 when it finally becomes available as well.

Will buy again.

6’4” 195lbs PNW based
100 mile review.
Much lighter than any other big day trail shoe I’ve used. Support has been great. I really like the level of stiffness for climbs helps foot fatigue for +5k days. Works great for me will buy again. Considering trying out the h1 for a daily shoe.
