Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

When i got these shoes they felt great right out of the box and did not disappoint. My S1s were part of a 5 shoe rotation. As a 225lb runner averaging 25 to 30 miles a week I finally retired them from running at 300 miles then continued to wear them at work in a mechanic shop for another 6 months. I can say i have never been able to go more than 200 miles on any shoe but these were built for the long haul. So far I have ordered another pair for my wife, as well as another pair of S1s and Badwater R1s for myself. Mount to Coast has made me very happy about my purchases.
I have been wearing these shoes for about a year and a half now and I love them! They are cusion-y without feeling like I'm wearing shoes. They are my absolute favorite shoes to run in!
Comfy and cushiony throughout my run I made a great decision in purchasing, first day running in these I'm very satisfied
In love with this shoe. I’ve logged just over a year with them. They’ve kept me running for longer, as they helped me overcome nagging ankle pain from an ankle break that I sustained over two years ago. I trained for my fourth marathon with them and I PR’d no problem. I will be a long time customer and supporter.
Enjoyed a solid 10k around Key West last night in my bright white new S1s. I was very pleased with the look, feel and reaction.
I switched from running in Nikes as my daily trainers to these. They are SO comfortable and easy to run in. I have been using them for months on my daily easy runs and long runs. So far they have held up really well (about 300 miles in my first pair)
I just got the shoes, its very light... i am stilling breaking them in. I haven't used it outside, since winter here, only ran on the treadmill. will see it performs once spring hits. I am not a hardcore running, just 30 mins in the morning as much as I can when I can.
Ran 5k as a first try and my feet felt so good. Perfect size, super comfortable and easy to walk and run with.
Can’t wait to run more with them
Went on my first run with my S1's and they felt really nice. I took the chance on these after reading reviews. They have a nice, firm feet. During the run I felt really stable and connected to the ground. They feel like they are going to last forever. Really happy with the purchase so far and looking forward to putting some miles on these!
Got these a couple months ago, and I’m just getting into running. These shoes have significantly helped take my training to the next level. Will for sure be coming back this way for more and using them in upcoming hyrox and spartan races!
Got my S1’s early this week and so far have done 2 runs, a 3 and 6 mile run. They fit just right and it almost feels like the shoes become one with my feet! Impact with the ground is soft but yet great stability. I have a 12-15 mile run this weekend so looking forward to see how it does! Excited!

I’m seriously impressed with this shoes! They have good cushion and yet don't feel too plushy and still feel responsive (which I think a lot of other shoes that offer thick cushion are lacking!) and they are very comfortable. I can’t wait to log a lot of miles in them and try the R1.
First run with these out of the box was the day after a track session. Legs were a little clunky and blocked up and was looking for a nice, long Z2 run. My expectation was that it was gonna be a bit of a grind but I was so happily surprised when I took my first couple strides in the S1. The flow just kept getting better and what I thought was gonna be a bit of a slog ended up being an enjoyable run. These are light, they guide your foot into a really natural position and feel great under foot. The ride is great. Now I just have to get them dirty!
Only about 10 miles so far but they have been great, very comfortable. Small brown stain right out of the box which doesn't really matter but I thought was weird for new shoes.
Let me start by saying I’m super hesitant to try anything new after running in the same shoe/insole combo over 15 years for hundreds of marathons, and hundreds of halfs, but trusting my first marathon coach, I said okay. I was so surprised that I didn’t need my Superfeet (and my history of R hip/IT issues and/or blisters without the insoles definitely made me nervous)!
The S1 look is simple and clean, and they are so light. The soft sole scared me that my far-from-perfect foot strike would turn into blisters or injury, especially without firm insoles, so I started with a hard effort interval treadmill run (5+ miles) and was relieved I felt great. I ran indoor intervals again the next morning just to be sure, and without issue moved out to the real world for pavement, concrete, and compact gravel. I somehow ran faster than usual (since I’m usually fatigued after the tread class) and had put 16 miles on these new S1s right out of the box. The shoe hugs my foot and moves with me, making transitions effortless and painless! My toes and forefoot appreciated the extra room in the toe box without that sense of swimming around. Friends asked what I thought and I had a big smile and said, “they are my Magic shoes”! I can’t wait for my multiple races coming up, and am glad I don’t need to add insoles to my shoe orders anymore! These shoes are so comfortable - it really was love at first step!
