Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

Bonne to do it.
Matthieu Bonne is a professional record breaker. From swimming to cycling to running, he’s made endurance his superpower – he even has the record for the most basketball free-throws in 24 hours. When he’s targeting a running record, like the 48-hour record he broke in 2025, Matthieu retreats to Kenya, where the altitude and simple life make for productive training. Known for his incredible mileage, Matthieu’s schedule often calls for back-to-back days of 100 km – precisely the kind of extreme training where the C1 excels.

The C1 features a dual layer midsole, utilizing a generous layer of our sustainable CircleCELL foam above a rubberized EVA bottom layer that provides the stability you need to go beyond. CircleCELL is the same supercritical foam used in our award-winning H1, delivering energy return on par with PEBA-based foams, while providing double PEBA’s running lifespan.
Despite its wide, stable stance and dual-layer midsole, the C1 comes in at a feathery 9.4 oz / 267 g (US M9), because long distance performance shouldn’t weigh you down. Featuring a 42 mm stack height and 6 mm drop, the C1 is optimized to let you push your limits of speed and distance in training, so that race day comes easy.
The TUNEDFIT Dual Lacing System offers separately customizable fit for the forefoot and midfoot. Because we know that in the ultrarunner’s pursuit of distance, feet can swell and change shape, and having a shoe that can adapt to those changes on the fly can be the difference between minor discomfort and injury. With TUNEDFIT you can enjoy the ride and channel your focus to the miles ahead.

Pretty sure i put them through their paces this week. Shoes arrived on Saturday, 9/5 and I took a couple runs in them before heading out on 9/10 to run 120 miles while photographing a 250 mile run from NYC to DC to commemorate the 25 years since 9-11. Wore them for 5 days straight with no issues beyond me not being in long distance shape. Shoes held up great and still look and feel great outside of the mud stains, feet were comfortable, no knee issues, room for toes, and ability to loosen the forefoot make them a solid choice.
After putting about 100 miles on my C1 I feel pretty good about my overall impression of the C1. I trade my longer runs between the C1 and Asics Megablast and both have their pros and cons.
The M2C C1 is a very stable shoe with a premium feel on all of the materials. The dual zone lacing is a very nice feature and it allows for a modular fit. It also keeps me from overtightening the top laces which typically lead to shin splint issues. The energy return is fairly good and it is easy to manage pace. The white colorway is great and I really like the red accents. I get a ton of questions every time I wear them, so they are great conversation starters and cool the M2C has grown via grassroots.
After a 100 miles a few things that are more on the con side. At about 170 lbs, I was hopeful these would soften up a bit. I like a firmer shoe, but they are still quite firm even after 100 miles. So the plush claim on their cushion meter in my opinion is a bit off. This is comparing them to the Superblast, which is spot on cushion for me. I have mortons toe, and the squared off toe box is great but its just ever so tight since there is no taper in the toe box. An 11.5 felt too big but maybe I should have gone up a size. The toe box design is much better than my size 11 Superblast (those taper very oddly) but my feet fit better in my other 11's in Saucony, On, and Mizuno.
Anytime I am going out for a 12+ mile run these are the shoes I grab. I can trust the stability, the consistent ability to keep pace and keeping my feet cool in the Florida heat. This shoe is almost perfect, I just wish it was a tad softer of a ride for me. I have a pair of H1 coming and cant wait to try them back to back.
i love them. Ran in them for the first time this past Saturday, 10 miles without breaking them in (i dont suggest doing this lol) but they were great! Been looking for a recovery shoes. I think these are great! Definitely on the firmer side. Nice stable ride but not a traditional stability shoe.
I first bought the special edition C135 and realized how much I loved it and decided to try the C1 to have some more color choices in my rotation. I now just rotate the two and it’s really the only shoe I want to wear. I was initially afraid of too much volume but found the variability is just what I needed. I have had no need for any aftermarket inserts with these shoes either which is a definite plus. The excellent cushion is just the right amount for my older bones and joints, does such a good job and impact absorption without feeling unstable. Now that my toes have room to move, don’t know if I could ever go back to slimmer shoe and I certainly don’t have a wide foot at all. Depending on the day or how far in you are one can adjust the lower lace for just the right fit and still lock in the upper. If there was something M2C could improve it would be customer service, they never seem to answer any questions or respond to anything, you all can do better.
I’ve never been this eager to write a review for a product. Long story short, I took these shoes with me to Central and South America because I knew I’d be walking anywhere from 6–9 miles a day, and these have been the best shoes for that!
The cushioning isn’t pillow-like or marshmallow-soft. It’s almost a firm-soft feel—soft enough to be comfortable, but not so firm that it feels like you’re walking on a slab of wood. I’m 6’1” and 290 lbs, and these shoes did the trick. They helped tremendously with fatigue, especially during long days of walking.
I even found myself getting home after being out all day and walking several miles, only to realize I still had the shoes on because my feet felt that comfortable. That says a lot to me.
As far as running goes, I made sure to break them in before leaving for my trip and ran a few miles in them. In my opinion, these are definitely more of a cruising shoe built for long distances. That’s not to say they can’t handle a faster pace—they absolutely can—but I don’t think that’s where they shine. For tempo runs, I’d personally switch into another pair of shoes that’s more suited for speed. But if these were my only option, they could definitely get the job done.
Overall, if you’re looking for a shoe that you can wear for hours, rack up miles in, and still feel comfortable at the end of the day, these are an absolute winner for me. I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough.
Have 15 miles in this week on the C1. They feel great and I'd definitely buy another pair
awesome shoe
Very Happy with my purchase; so much so I wrote a review which I rarely do and only for great products. Full Transparency I took a look at the C1's in Pulse because I thought they looked nice in an ad; came to the M2C website (I had not heard of them until that ad) and read all about their shoes and who they were as a company and was sold.
50/M former lifter, recovering from injury where I gained a lot of weight. So now I am on a weight loss journey, and I would dare say setting my health in order; so maintaining my physical health is beyond important to me.
I bought the C1's (in Pulse) for walking through a local mountainous park (paved walking paths) while wearing a 20lb vest. Previously was wearing Hoka's an I would feel fatigue in my arches and around my ankles whiles walking, the C1's provided immediate relief! No more mid walk fatigue!!
Amazing shoes, I love how they fit true to size and how comfortable they are. I have a high top of foot and the dual lace system brilliantly allows for the C1's to be locked down on my feet without being painful or cutting off blood flow. Will definitely be buying other models for trail activities as well.
Excellent for long runs. I have the R1 and H1 so happy to add these to my shoe rotation. Definitely more cushion and stability than the R1. I’m a huge fan of MtC. I’ll keep buying them as long as you keep making them!
Love these shoes. I have the T1s, H1s and recently got the C1s. Mount to coast is the real deal. I’ve put all of these shoes through heavy training and a few 100+ mile ultra marathons this year and they just keep going.
The C1 is great, except for one major issue.
It does holds moisture unlike any of the others. The R1, H1, & S1 are all super shoes without this issue.
But, in extreme heat and starting at 15-20 miles, it becomes super heavy with moisture and a change is needed. Pains me to write it, sorry.
I love this brand so much! Two years ago I saw them advertised on IG and looked into them. I saw they had 4 1/2 and 5 star reviews and got the R1 for my boyfriend. He’s a runner and he said they are by far his favorite pair of running shoes he has ever had; he has and has had tons of them. He then got me a pair of the R1 for my first marathon. I fell in love! I just ran my first 50miler in the same ones and decided to treat myself with the C1 for completing it! Love those as well. 5 stars all around.
Have you ever considered making a kids size? Like size 2 or 3 and up? Something to ponder.
Keep up the amazing work. Grateful to be a proud owner and user of the Mount to Coast running shoes!
Super soft and bouncy, I’m training to run 13.1 miles everyday for 1 calendar year starting 11/14/26 for a functional cure in Type 1 Diabetes. I chose the C1 for its soft comfortable ride and it has not disappointed
Very comfortable run
