Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

The C135 features a dual layer midsole, utilizing a generous layer of our sustainable CircleCELL™ foam above a stable, rubberized EVA bottom layer. An ultralight, breathable, and fast-drying upper is engineered to excel in the harsh conditions of Death Valley in July. The result is a shoe that offers 42mm of responsive, comfortable cushioning while weighing just 9.2 oz / 262 g (US M9).
The Badwater® 135 covers 135 miles and has a time limit of 45 hours. With a start time late in the evening, running through at least one night on desert roads is guaranteed. Safety is paramount and athletes are obliged to make themselves seen, so the C135 incorporates a highly reflective coating on the midsole to enhance visibility for safer racing beyond sunset.
The TUNEDFIT™ Dual Lacing System offers separately customizable fit for the forefoot and midfoot. Because we know that in the pursuit of distance, feet can swell and change shape, especially in a race with temperature swings as extreme as Badwater® 135, having a shoe that can adapt to those changes on the fly can be the difference between minor discomfort and injury.

Light for distance shoes and little bouncy
Felt amazing right out the box! Light weight and responsive cushion. Feel effortless.
Good padding underfoot with a stiffer sole than Hokas and Brooks. They look good too- I’ve had a few ppl ask me where I got them.
This is my second pair of C1's. A very impressive sneaker. Plenty of support, cushion, and a wide toe box. I can appreciate the quality. The attention to detail is like no other brand. They make for a nice smooth run. A flawless sneaker.
I picked up a pair of these at Suburban Running & Rec in Seguin. I was reluctant to buy without trying them on, as I have been disappointed when buying on hype with other brands. This pair of shoes has been an awesome surprise, from the moment I tried them on. I like a large toe box and minimal drop. These fit like a dream and roll beautifully when you are fresh and still strike and roll well when you are hot, tired, and sloppy at 20+ miles.
Really nice shoe. Only thing to recommend is trying it on, it’s my experience with the 2 pair that I have is a bit of inconsistent sizing. The white pair feels like it has a bit more width & volume in the upper.
The C135 is a high quality, comfortable shoe. It is lightweight with breathable fabric around the top of the foot. This shoe is bright yellow/green and has reflective material, which makes it perfect for Badwater 135.
I recently purchased the clay trail shoe and just loved the lightness and large toe box, but because I am training for a marathon, I wanted to try the road shoe. This Badwater version came out just in time, and I didn't mind spending the extra $$ to get the yellow and fluorescent color. The ran 16 miles the first day I put them on--ran in the rain--and not one blister and they still felt light the entire run. I'm starting to become a huge fan of Mount to Coast and I am recommending them to everyone I can.
Wow , first time ever i bought a shoes just dedicated for running only and i chose MTC C135 and that didn’t let me down. I was surprised how light and comfortable the shoes. Couldn’t ask for more. Definitely will come back to buy other version of MTC also.
I love this shoe so much! 10 miles right out of the box and they were super comfortable, quite breathable in south Florida heat. Love the color!
New favorite road shoe! Stable, firm/not too soft, feet dont feel tired after a hard session.
Probably the most comfortable and springy shoes I’ve ever worn. Love the limited edition colors. H1s did not fit my wide foot but these half a size up gave me plenty of mid foot and toe box room. They feel just as wide as my Altras.
My first run in these shoes was an 18 miler and I finished feeling comfortable and strong. Looking forward to many more miles in a shoe that actually allows my toes the freedom to do their thing while easing the pounding through the rest of my body.
Amazing stability and feather light
? How many pair have been sold ?

Holy smokes the cushion the support could go 135 easy in these shoes
I've only put 9 miles on them, but they are fantastic out of the box. I bought these and a fresh replacement pair of H1's at the same time, and the initial fit of these feel better than the H1's.They will definitely be a great shoe to have for road days when I can't hit the trails. Super light, cushy, yet responsive. I'm loyal to the H1's for the type of trails I do, but these are a fantastic addition to have in the quiver for road days.
