Size Measuring Guide
A perfect fit for your ultra-marathon running shoes is important for comfort and performance. Follow these tips to measure your foot size at home:
General Tips:
- Measure your feet at the end of the day as they're at their largest due to swelling.
- In between sizes? One foot is bigger than the other? Take the larger size.
- It's best to measure every year. Your size could change over time.
What You'll Need:
- A piece of paper larger than your foot,
- A pen or pencil,
- A ruler or measuring tape,
- Socks of the thickness you'll wear with the shoes.
Steps:
- Stand on the paper in the socks you'll wear with the shoes.
- Use the pen or pencil to mark the end of your longest toe and the back of your heel. It's important to measure both feet as their size can vary.
- Match your measurements to our size chart to find the best fit. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger size for better comfort.

Vibram®’s Finest
The T1’s outsole features a trio of Vibram® innovations: Megagrip rubber for tenacious traction in any condition, Litebase for 30 percent less weight without compromising performance, and Traction Lug micro-features for up to 25 percent more grip.

After a full season of training, my T1 have proven to be a great addition to my shoe lineup (I use a 5-shoe rotation so these are my rugged tail long-run shoes). Structurally and aesthetically they have held up really well after 100 miles. They are lightly breathable, while balancing decent water resistance (but definitely not waterproof). They have a similar performance to the La Sportiva Prodigio Pro, but with a more structured ankle.
Unlike the R1, the toe box is quite narrow, and the shoe is stiffer, especially torsionally. The adaptive lacing system is great, but I did switch out the top cable for laces since I don't do a ton of running in heavy mud and water. The sole is really grippy, but nimble with that narrower footprint. Similar to the R1 and H1, they don't have a lot of "pop" but they do hold up well for long trail runs. Perhaps my only wish were a bit more room in the toe as they are narrow and pointed, and do not come in wide sizing. My toes were a bit beat up after a 50k trail ultra. If your terrain is mostly packed dirt, gravel and grass, I'd highly recommend the H1 instead, which are equally good but have a softer, more roomy feel and are better for mixed terrain. But if the terrain is rough, this is a fantastic choice (I'm looking forward to using them in the winter).
The T1s are hands down the best new trail shoes I’ve tried in years. Mount to Coast absolutely nailed the balance of simplicity, reliability, and performance. The cushioning is high without feeling sloppy, the ride stays smooth and predictable, and the durability is on another level when compared to other brands out there.
After countless long-distance training runs and races, the T1s have become my go-to for every ultra.… just a rock-solid shoe that performs every single time I lace them up. If you’re looking for a dependable, high-cushioned, long-haul trail shoe from a brand that’s clearly getting it right, the T1 is it.
Hot dang these shoes are so good. The traction from the vibram has easily handled any terrain I’ve thrown at it. Mud, rocks, steep steep descents and brutal ascents. These bad boys completely over delivered. I’m hooked
I bought this shoe to replace a pair of On Running shoes that I wear to walk the dogs. I’ve worn them for a couple months now and put 1-2 miles on them every day. I’ve worn them in the rain and confirm water resistance. Extremely light weight. Very comfortable and very cushy. Would buy again.
Really enjoying the T1 so far. Comfortable on foot, I went a half size up to get a bit more room for my toes. Nice ride on trail, cushioning is top notch but the shoe has some speed when you call for it. Rockered well so you can just settle in and let the miles disappear. Dual lacing system locks your foot in really nicely as well.
