Miles of Heart Challenge-Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Mount to Coast "Miles of Heart Challenge" (the “Challenge”). The Miles of Heart Challenge is more than just logging miles; it's a movement dedicated to celebrating every runner's personal journey of going further. We believe that the most powerful running stories are not always about winning races, but about overcoming personal hurdles and discovering new strengths.
By participating in the Challenge, you fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and the decisions of Mount to Coast (“Sponsor”), which are final and binding in all matters related to the Challenge.

Eligibility The Challenge is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence) at the time of entry. Employees of Mount to Coast and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes. This Challenge is void where prohibited by law.

How to Enter Participation in the Challenge does not require a purchase. To enter the Challenge, you must complete all three (3) of the following steps:

Step 1: Run & Record Your Moment. Go for your run! Whether it's a planned attempt at a new Personal Best (PB) or an unexpected breakthrough, capture that moment of personal progress.

Step 2: Share on Social Media. Post about your running moment on your favorite social media platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, Strava). Your post must include:

At least one photo that features any pair of Mount to Coast shoes.

The hashtags

Your social media account/post must be set to public for your entry to be visible and eligible.

Step 3: Submit Your Link. Return to the "Miles of Heart Challenge" page on the Mount to Coast website and submit a direct link to your social media post through the official submission form. This step officially enters you into the Challenge for a chance to win.

Content Submission License and Rights Grant By submitting your photo, video, text, and any other content (collectively, “Content”) to the Challenge, you grant Mount to Coast and its affiliates, agents, and partners a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such Content in any and all media, formats, and channels, whether now known or hereafter devised, for any purpose, including but not limited to advertising, marketing, and promotional activities, without any further compensation, notice, review, or approval.
You represent and warrant that:

You are the sole owner of the Content and have all necessary rights to grant the license set forth herein.

The Content does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.

The Content is not defamatory, libelous, obscene, pornographic, or otherwise illegal.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mount to Coast from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees), and liabilities arising from any breach of these warranties.
While Mount to Coast will make a reasonable effort to credit you by tagging your social media handle when using your Content, we are not obligated to do so.

Winner Selection and Notification

Winner Selection: Two (2) winners will be selected each month by a panel of judges from the Mount to Coast team. Winners will be chosen based on creativity, originality, and their ability to embody the spirit of transcending their own limits. All decisions of the judges are final.

Notification: Winners will be notified via the email address provided during the link submission process (Step 3). We will also share the winning stories on our website and through our email newsletter. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond within five (5) business days of notification, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.

Prizes

Monthly Prize: Two (2) winners will be selected each month. Each winner will receive one (1) pair of Mount to Coast shoes of their choice.

Prize Conditions: Prizes are subject to availability. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent for prizes is available, except at the Sponsor's sole discretion.

Privacy and Personal Data When you participate in the Challenge, we collect personal information such as your name, email address (from the submission form), your social media username, and any personal information included in your Content. This information is collected for the purposes of administering the Challenge, contacting potential winners, and for marketing and promotional activities as outlined in Section 3 of these Terms. By entering, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data for these purposes. For more information on how we handle personal data, please review our main Privacy Policy on our website.

General Conditions Mount to Coast reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Challenge, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond our reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Challenge, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The termination date of the Challenge will be determined by Mount to Coast and will be announced on the official website fifteen (15) days prior to the final date of entry.

No Affiliation with Social Media Platforms This Challenge is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Strava, or any other social media platform. You are providing your information to Mount to Coast and not to these platforms.
